Spring 1997 - Cincinnati to Yukon

Day 101 - Whitehorse, Yukon
10 July 1997 (sunny; very nice; mileage = 8.5) -- X - At about 4:00 AM,
some drunk, rude people were making a lot of noise. Soon after, the road
construction noise began. We did sleep in a bit, though! We got up and had
a big breakfast of yogurt (Swiss-style) and cereal. I then spent the
morning diagraming an Ortlieb bag. April read the ferry schedules -- very
complicated. We finally got ready to ride into town where we dropped off
film, mailed letters, bought ferry tix, went shopping. We bought H2O-proof
spray, small camera tripod, German and Spanish books. We picked up our pix
and ferry tix and rode back to camp. I then looked at my pedal. It had a
sealed cartridge bearing, and I couldn't fix it. I put some things away.
Then the Swiss and we rode to a Mexican restaurant for an expensive dinner.
After, April and I checked on the food stores -- closed. Back to camp. I
showed (gave) the Swiss some pictures. I then sorted the pictures while
April read. It's almost dark now, so it must be VERY late.
