9 October 1997 (nice; perfect; cool temp [65 degrees]; mileage = 11; Mountain View) -- X - I am wise to the "Hawaii time" schedule now and so I slept as long as I could. I got up at about 8:30. I finished my inventory list while the Rogers crew was getting ready. When they finally left (~10:00 AM), I got to work organizing the send-away packages. I wrote letters to Robert and April. Then I headed out for my daily shopping ride. 1st to the hardware store where I bought a C-clamp and some wood glue. Then I rode down to the library to make copies of the inventory list and the map keys. Oh wait. The 1st thing I did was go to a taqueria and had some decent food. After the library, I went to Baskin & Robbins; I'm trying to get fattened up for my upcoming tour of evil. I then dropped off the video at Blockbuster. Then I rode through Mountain View looking for a flag (signifying a post office). With the small packages away, I returned to base camp. I glued and clamped the cracked crib deck. Then I put the San Diego-forward stuff in the box I found. I did some more planning and finally I just laid down on the floor and took a nap. It was a pretty good nap that lasted until the young Rogers returned. We watched "Sleeping Beauty" 1.5 times today (in addition to yesterday's viewing -- two-day rental). We heard the Power Rangers CD for the 4th time in 3 days. It's 11:23 PM! and Peter just came down for a snack. Seth picked off the crust for Prince Peter (and I ate it). Now Peter wants to floss his teeth. Yea, sure. Last night and tonight I didn't (won't) sleep on the futon. Prince Peter has built block castles that are in the way and cannot be disturbed. I was showing Seth our voyage route but I was interrupted by a summons for Seth by his Highness. I calculated all of the major passes on my upcoming trip and wrote this. Maybe I'll finish up my conversation with Seth when Peter drops from exhaustion; actually, I'm more likely to!
