Near Bellem, B	1 June 2001
Vale was in a cranky mood as we rode along the Brugge-Gent Kanaal. Part of that could have been the fact that we were hungry and not finding food opportunities very easily. The map we had took us to places like this. In fact, canal towpaths were very common, but that didn't really take us through the food selling districts of towns. The reason we're stopped is that my rack decided to fall off the back of my bike (again). Both screws just backed out.
