This was a mess. I fell for a common German trick. There would be a hiking/cycling path with a sign on it saying where it went. Well, this time, the sign said it was going to where I wanted to be. It was along the river and looked scenic so I thought I'd give it a try. Grrr. Bad plan. I had some trouble with this long construction zone where there was only loose sand for the path's surface. This picture shows one of the border markers.
