This is the border crossing between Germany and the Czech Republic. I didn't have a clue about the language. I didn't have any Czech money, hell, I didn't even have a map - but I thought, how much worse can it get. Turns out, I made the right decision. I loved the Czech Republic. About 500m from here I found a machine that took a modest amount of Deutschmarks and returned an incalculable amount of Czech Krone. That was the start of a good deal.
