This campsite was absolutely super. We had to slog through the snow for couple thousand meters, but it was definitely worth it. This was a national forest campground that was closed for the winter - uh, closed to cars... For bicyclists, they were running a special deal - free! And we had the place to ourselves. No noisy RV generators to annoy us. They even had plenty of firewood BUT I absolutely could not get anything to burn. Usually I'm pretty good at starting a fire. Finally, out of frustration, I used gasoline - still it wouldn't burn! We were pretty high up in altitude here.
