I hope everyone is having a good solstice. Mine was pretty good.

I'm in Marquette, MI and although the snow is not great, it is not quite entirely nonexistent. I've been enjoying what little there is. Although skiing is barely even possible, I did manage to get 8.5km in today.

I then got the idea in my head that I should build an igloo. And I'm quite pleased with the results!

The biggest impediment was actually a lack of snow. You can see I've scraped up the whole area. A shovel would have been a big help too. The scale is about half of what I would need to actually sleep in. But it was a good proof of concept and an excellent educational experience.
